Prior to venturing into the writing business I worked in the accounting and auditing sector, with both public and private sector organisations. I am a qualified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA) as well as a Fellow Member in Practice (FMAAT) with the Association of Accounting Technicians.
I have over thirty years experience in the accounting, audit and business consultancy sector and been involved in almost all areas of accounting and internal auditing, including computer audits, value for money exercises and fraud investigations.
I also have experience in small business accounts preparation, taxation, payroll and general business consultancy. This experience has proved invaluable in writing on a wide variety of business issues and I am constantly striving to expand my areas of interest and potential markets for my writing.
